Shoreview Home Kitchen Remodel

This split level home had a kitchen that was literally boxed in, with a very small walkway into the confined area where the walls and space were not well utilized.

The adjoining entry was so tiny that it was difficult to get into the house without maneuvering around the front door in order to get in.

We removed two interior walls to create this beautiful open and spacious kitchen and now the entryway is big enough to allow several people in at one time! We were even able to open up the kitchen to the dining room.

We installed painted “Cabinets to Go!” cabinets and an island graced with granite countertops adorned with a cooktop really makes this kitchen not only functional, but beautiful. The updated and detailed backsplash with the stainless steel faucet, sink and appliances plus pendent lighting centering over the island catches and keeps the eye. Complementing the kitchen, breakfast nook, and entryway is wood-look tile flooring. The black built-in pantries in the breakfast nook gave the homeowner the added storage space they desired with the bonus of a desk nestled in between.

We moved the sink so that the customer could look out the front window while doing the dishes. We raised the bay window to make room for the sink, dishwasher, and garbage disposal. We added a sweet flower box below the front window to add a splash of color. This served two purposes: it increased the curb appeal of this home and avoided re-siding of the house. Truly transformed!
